Export of Ukrainian Weapons Could Bring Over $2 Billion in 2024

Ukrainian arms manufacturers are ready to export surplus products to partner countries, but this requires government permits. This was stated by the Executive Director of the Technological Forces of Ukraine, Kateryna Mykhalko, during a forum dedicated to the export of Ukrainian weapons.

According to Mykhalko, just last year, by developing exports, Ukraine could have received over $2 billion. This underscores the need to establish controlled arms exports so that the country can realize its potential in the international market.

“Russia is stimulating the drone industry and expanding its international cooperation. During the war, Russia has signed agreements for the export of military equipment worth $55 billion,” Mykhalko noted.

She also warned of the risk that Russia could occupy the market that previously belonged to Ukraine due to the activation of its export initiatives.

During the forum, Ukrainian manufacturers appealed to the President of Ukraine to lift the ban on controlled arms exports, which could significantly improve the situation.

Additionally, at the Rearmament Europe – Readiness 2030 symposium in Paris, Ukraine presented innovative projects for the production of drones, ammunition, missiles, and electronic warfare systems. These projects will be considered for funding under the EU’s Security Action for Europe initiative, which has a budget of €150 billion.
