In Dnipro, three servicemen of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center have been detained on suspicion of beating a 55-year-old local resident to death. The incident occurred on the evening of February 6, near the deceased’s home, and a report of his death was received by the police the following night.

Circumstances of the tragedy and family reaction
According to preliminary forensic conclusions, the cause of death was a head injury. Relatives of the deceased recognized him by his beard, as his face was severely beaten, covered in blood and numerous bruises.
“His face was very beaten, covered in blood and bruises; I recognized him by his beard. We were told that he was beaten in a van, taken to the hospital, and he died there. After some time, I was called back and told that they would bring the dog themselves,” said Svitlana.
The family has still not received the results of the forensic examination and is waiting for the deceased’s wife to return from abroad to collect the body and documents.
The deceased lived with his 18-year-old daughter, who is in 11th grade. On the night of the tragedy, the girl was home alone, trying to call her father and sending him messages, unaware of the incident. The deceased had three children.
Official actions and investigation
The police have seized physical evidence and interviewed witnesses. The deceased’s vehicle was found to be covered in blood. According to law enforcement, it has been established that three servicemen of the TCC are involved in the fatal bodily injuries. They have already been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim’s death.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional TCC and SP have urged against making hasty conclusions until the investigation is complete. The center’s management emphasized that they are providing comprehensive assistance to law enforcement and cooperating with the investigation.
Currently, hearings are ongoing in the Dnipro court regarding the selection of a preventive measure for the three suspected servicemen of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center. The pre-trial investigation continues, and all circumstances of the crime are being established.
