Detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine are conducting active investigative actions involving Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, as well as the state company “Energoatom”. The operation is part of a larger investigation into corruption schemes in the strategic energy sector.

WIDESPREAD OPERATION BY NABU AND SAP
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, has launched a large-scale operation aimed at exposing corruption crimes in the energy sector. According to NABU’s press service, the investigation has lasted over 15 months, during which approximately 1000 hours of audio recordings were made.
“15 months of work and 1000 hours of audio recordings. The activities of a high-level criminal organization have been documented”.
Investigators discovered that members of the criminal organization created an extensive corruption scheme to influence strategic enterprises in the public sector, including the state enterprise “NAEK Energoatom”.
RAIDS IN STATE STRUCTURES AND AMONG HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS
Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak also reported on the raids at “Energoatom” and confirmed that investigative actions are being carried out regarding Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. All these measures are part of the investigation into the influence of an organized criminal group on the management of key facilities in Ukraine’s energy sector.
The investigation focuses on documentation and audio recordings that confirm the existence of corruption schemes involving high-ranking officials and leaders of state enterprises. As of November 2025, investigative actions are ongoing, and details of new revelations are expected to be disclosed soon.
