In Dnipro, the maximum speed limit on certain roads will increase from April 1

Starting in April, the speed limit in Dnipro will be temporarily changed: on designated highways, embankments, and bridges, the allowed speed will increase to 70 km/h. The new rules will be in effect until early November, after which standard restrictions will return.

Details of the speed limit changes in Dnipro

The increase in the maximum speed applies only to those sections of the roads where road conditions and the width of the roadway permit it. This will mainly affect major transport arteries, bridges, and embankments. At the same time, in areas of increased danger, particularly near pedestrian crossings, the speed will remain limited to ensure the safety of all road users.

“On certain sections, the maximum allowed speed will increase to 70 km/h. These rules will be in effect until early November.”

New operation of cameras and list of streets with increased speed

Automatic cameras for monitoring traffic violations have already been adjusted to the new limits. Drivers are warned that enforcement of the speed limit will remain strict even after the limits are increased.

Kyiv remains unchanged in speed limits

In Kyiv, there will be no seasonal increase in speed limits. The standard restriction of no more than 50 km/h continues to apply in the capital. This is attributed to the overall condition of the road surface after the winter period.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has been tasked with accelerating road repairs. Currently, about 60,000 square meters of roads are being restored daily, and by the end of March, they plan to increase this figure to 150,000 square meters per day.
