Military expert Yevhen Dikiy expressed his opinion regarding the subsoil use agreement signed between the USA and Ukraine. According to him, many important aspects were not included in the agreement, as the positions of the parties significantly diverge.

“The agreement will be presented to the Verkhovna Rada without many key points that need to be defined and solidified in additional technical agreements,” the expert emphasized during a broadcast on Radio NV.
“It is still a big question how the story with this agreement will develop. The issue is far from being closed,” noted Dikiy.
Dikiy also pointed out that the preliminary version of the agreement consisted of 90 pages, while the signed document contains only 12 pages. “This is 1/8 of the issues that will be discussed. On these 12 pages that we signed, there is really nothing tragic, nothing irreparable,” the expert remarked.
At the same time, he stressed that these 12 pages do not include important issues that have been overlooked and require coordination in technical agreements. According to the expert, these technical agreements are not yet ready.
“And honestly, until we see them, it is hard to assess what we are signing up for. The fact that the parliament will ratify these 12 pages without technical agreements says a lot about the agreement,” emphasized Dikiy.
He also added that currently Ukraine has not suffered significant losses, but has entered a zone of great risks. Dikiy noted the position of the special representative of the USA, Keith Kellogg, stating that his opinion may be more personal, as he supports Ukraine. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump and Vice President Jay D. Vance show sympathies towards Ukraine’s enemy – Russia.
