In the last 24 hours, developers of memecoins on the pump.fun platform received $2.1 million in commission payments. The rapid increase in rewards was made possible by the implementation of the new initiative Project Ascend, aimed at developing the platform’s ecosystem and enhancing token resilience.

Project Ascend and the New Commission Structure
Project Ascend, announced by the pump.fun team on September 2, involves the introduction of a multi-tiered commission structure called Dynamic Fees V1. The main principle of the system is that as the market capitalization of the project increases, the commission rate for creators decreases. For instance, according to official information, with a capitalization ranging from 420 SOL to 1,470 SOL (equivalent to approximately $87,740-$307,080), the commission is 0.95%, while in the range of 88,400 SOL to 93,330 SOL ($18.4 million – $19.5 million), it drops to just 0.1%.
The launch of Project Ascend has allowed the new commission system to be applied to all projects on the platform, which, according to the developers, is expected to increase rewards for memecoin creators by tenfold.
“Now creating memecoins on pump.fun will be ten times more profitable, which means we will see exponential growth in the number of talents joining Pump Fun, from streamers to startups,” the project team stated.
Impact of the Updates and Community Feedback
Thanks to Project Ascend, the total amount of commissions received by memecoin authors reached $3.26 million, with the majority of this amount being paid out after the launch of the new system. Meanwhile, the commissions for the protocol and liquidity providers remained unchanged—the fee is charged on every transaction involving a memecoin.
In addition to changes in the commission structure, the Project Ascend initiative includes additional innovations aimed at further developing the pump.fun ecosystem.
Community members have responded positively to the updates. In particular, a streamer on the platform under the pseudonym Jytol emphasized that the new commission structure allows even lesser-known creators to earn more than they would on other streaming services. He noted that this opens up new opportunities for a wide range of creators.
“This enables ordinary people and small creators like me to enter this field, start streaming with a very small community, and earn in a month more than a Twitch or Kick streamer would in a year. They have opened the door to countless opportunities for new and existing creators, and I am happy to be a part of this.”
Streaming on pump.fun started in November 2024. After a temporary shutdown due to issues with illegal content, the feature was restored. The pump.fun platform has recently regained its leadership among launch platforms for memecoins, solidifying its position through new tools and systems to motivate creators.
