From January to March 2026, the volume of cream production in Ukraine significantly decreased. The most notable decline is observed in the category of high-fat products.

Dynamics of low-fat cream production
According to data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in the first quarter of 2026, Ukrainian enterprises produced 4.9 thousand tons of cream with a fat content of up to 29% inclusive. This figure is 11.6% lower than in the corresponding period of 2025.
“This refers to products that are actively used in the food industry, catering establishments, and home consumption.”
The decrease in production concerns not only high-fat but also lower-fat creams, which have significant demand among both large consumers and households.
Significant decline in the high-fat cream segment
A particularly sharp reduction was recorded in the production of cream with a fat content exceeding 29%. During the first three months of 2026, Ukrainian producers released 8.2 thousand tons of such products, which is 17.8% less than in the same period last year.
Industry analysts explain this trend by the increase in production costs, rising raw material prices, and changes in demand structure. Additionally, producers are facing heightened logistics and energy costs, which negatively impact the overall volume of dairy product production.
It was also previously reported that prices for dairy products in Ukraine have risen, further affecting the market situation.
