At the World Defense Show 2026, taking place in Saudi Arabia, the Chinese state defense company presented an upgraded version of a four-legged combat robot, which for the first time features a heavy anti-tank configuration with four launchers for guided missiles.

Capabilities and Purpose of the New Platform
Developers reported that the new combat complex has been created as a modular platform designed to perform tasks in urban environments and on challenging terrain. The robot’s body is equipped with four launch containers in two blocks, compatible with lightweight short-range missiles. Experts estimate that the effective range for hitting targets is between 2 and 4 km, allowing it to destroy tanks, armored vehicles, fortifications, and low-flying helicopters.
The combat robot is equipped with an electro-optical guidance system that includes daytime and thermal sensors, a laser rangefinder, and a stabilized head for target tracking. The machine is capable of moving along pre-defined routes, navigating obstacles, and operating under remote control from an operator. Semi-autonomous operating modes are also provided; however, missile launches remain under human control.
Advantages and Prospects for Use
Analysts note that the integration of anti-tank missiles onto a four-legged platform significantly enhances its combat potential compared to previous versions, which were armed only with firearms or grenade launchers. At the same time, experts point out the issue of stabilization during missile launches, but during the demonstration, minimal destabilization was recorded after simulated launches.
“This is the first appearance of a heavy anti-tank configuration of this type at an international arms exhibition, demonstrating the expansion of China’s capabilities in the field of ground unmanned systems.”
The presentation of this complex indicates China’s ambition to strengthen its position in the armed ground robotics market. Delegations from Middle Eastern and Asian countries have expressed interest in the new product; however, no contracts have been reported at this time.
