Ukrainian pensioners are required to inform the Pension Fund of Ukraine within 10 days after a number of changes. This includes events such as employment or termination of employment. Failure to provide this information may result in overpayments that will later need to be returned to the budget as a penalty. This is reported by the Pension Fund.
This is reported by Finway
This requirement is established in part 2 of Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance.” Failure to notify or timely notify about employment (or registration of entrepreneurial activity) leads to illegal pension fund payments that must be returned to the Pension Fund authorities.
How to Report Status Changes?
Pensioners must notify the Pension Fund authorities exclusively by submitting an application and documents that confirm the relevant changes. These may include orders or directives regarding hiring or termination of employment, employment records with entries about employment or dismissal, as well as civil law contracts.
Recently, a resident of the village of Teresva, Ivan B., approached the Citizen Service Department No. 7 to submit such an application. Since the man has mobility difficulties, he was assisted by the chief specialist of the Tyachiv Service Center, Marina Pidlisna.
Online Options for Submitting an Application
An application can also be submitted online through the electronic services web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (http://portal.pfu.gov.ua) or via the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (Diia portal), using a qualified electronic signature.
