In Ukraine, a significant decrease in carrot prices has been recorded. Currently, producers are selling this vegetable within the range of 5–11 UAH per kilogram, depending on the quality of the product and the size of the batch. This is on average 21% cheaper than last week.

Reasons for the Decrease in Root Vegetable Prices
Industry experts explain this trend by the seasonal increase in the supply of carrots in the market, accompanied by a variety of quality characteristics. At the same time, demand for carrots remains quite moderate, which forces producers to adjust their pricing policies to stimulate the sale of remaining stock.
Comparison with Last Year
According to analysts, wholesale batches of carrots in Ukraine are currently being sold at an average of 59% cheaper than during the same period last year. This trend indicates a significant impact of seasonal factors and an active price review by producers to stabilize the market.
“Therefore, in an effort to boost sales, farmers are forced to lower the selling prices of available batches of carrots, analysts note.”
