“In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted 11 times to push our soldiers from their occupied positions in the areas of Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and Novopavlivka. Situation on Other Sections of the Front
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Russian army attacked twice towards Ternove and Novohryhorivka, and another battle is currently ongoing there. Meanwhile, in the Orikhiv direction, one attack by the enemy was recorded.
According to the headquarters, in the Huliaipole direction, there were 13 attacks near Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Zarichne, Varvarivka, Luhivske, and Myrne. Two armed confrontations in this area are still ongoing. In the Dnipro direction, no attempts at an offensive by Russian troops are currently observed.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, emphasized that the concept of the “front edge” in modern combat conditions has become less defined, as mutual “infiltration zones” for small groups are being created on many directions, which can reach over 10 kilometers deep. Despite the constant attempts by the enemy to break through the Ukrainian defense, the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold designated lines, and in certain sections of the front, they are conducting their own active offensive actions.
Volodymyr Polovyi, head of the communications department of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces, stressed that Ukrainian troops continue to be present in the northern parts of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk region. According to him, these settlements remain among the most tense points on the line of confrontation.
Earlier, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that since the end of January, it had not observed evidence of the presence of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk, which may indicate that the city has been captured by Russian forces. However, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has not confirmed information about the capture of Pokrovsk by Russian forces or the withdrawal of Ukrainian units from the city.
