Temperature forecast in different regions
According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, on Wednesday the air temperature will become more uniform across the country. During the day, temperatures are expected to range from +20 to +25 degrees, while in the south, thermometers will rise to +27 degrees. In Transcarpathia and Kharkiv regions, somewhat cooler weather is forecasted – from +16 to +19 degrees. However, brief rains are possible almost everywhere.
Weather in Kyiv and trends for the end of the week
In Kyiv on June 4, forecasters predict light precipitation, but the air temperature will rise to +22 degrees. Natalka Didenko characterized this temperature regime as “ideal”.
“The brief cool spell affected the northern and part of the central regions. In particular, in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions, the air temperature dropped to +17…+20 degrees, and in some places there were rains. However, this cool spell is temporary, and the temperature will start to rise the next day”
In the west of the country, during the day, thermometers reached +22…+24 degrees, while in Transcarpathia, they occasionally rose to +26 degrees. Despite the comfortable temperature, the region was under the influence of rainy fronts. The east of Ukraine was the warmest – from +23 to +25 degrees, with minimal chances of precipitation.
In the central regions, the atmospheric front brought periodic rains and a slight decrease in temperature, while in the south, temperatures ranged from +19…+24 degrees. The highest likelihood of precipitation was observed in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
By the end of the week, according to Natalka Didenko, moderately warm weather will prevail in Ukraine. Daytime temperatures are expected to be between +20…+24 degrees, although brief cool periods may occur in certain areas. Due to unstable atmospheric conditions, periodic rains will remain relevant, so a prolonged dry period is not forecasted in the near future.
At the same time, as previously noted by the head of the department of applied meteorology and climatology at UkrHMI of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Vira Balabukh, Ukrainians should prepare for temperatures that may exceed average annual values, as well as pay attention to the possibility of dangerous weather phenomena.
