Strengthening Positions in the EU Market
Ukraine maintains its status as a leading supplier of organic grains to the European Union and has managed to rise from fifth to third place among the largest exporters of organic products to the EU. The volumes of Ukrainian organic exports to EU countries in 2024 increased by 17.4%, totaling 203,900 tons, which accounts for 7.7% of the total import of organic goods by the European market. The main importers remain the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria.
Expanding Logistics Capabilities and Export Geography
The partial resumption of water transport has allowed Ukrainian producers to reduce logistics costs, positively impacting the competitiveness of their products. Companies are also actively opening offices in EU countries to reduce dependence on intermediaries and traders.
The foundation of Ukrainian organic exports consists of crops such as soybeans, corn, and wheat. In addition to Europe, shipments of organic products from Ukraine to North America have significantly increased, particularly with soybeans and sunflower oil being exported to the USA.
