Strategic Partnership in Defense Technologies
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of expanding technical cooperation with European countries to bolster Ukraine’s defense capacity. According to him, effective agreements have already been reached with several states, and new contracts for joint drone production and other weapons are expected to be signed in the near future.
“We are working closely with our reliable partners in Europe to scale up joint projects in weapon production, primarily drones. I am grateful to every country and every leader who is already with us. There will be new agreements as well – we are preparing them,” he noted.
The President stressed that strengthening Ukraine’s own defense capabilities also helps attract international attention to its struggle and achievements in modern weapon production.
Defense Industry and Global Support
He expressed special gratitude to the Ukrainian military, who demonstrate courage on the front lines and enhance the country’s reputation as a powerful producer of defense products. In Zelensky’s opinion, it is the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people that draw the world’s attention to the fight for freedom. The President believes that without adequate protection and support from the international community, it would be nearly impossible to withstand a large-scale war.
In the past week, the Russian Federation has carried out nearly 1,550 attacks on Ukraine using strike drones, over 1,260 guided aerial bombs, and two missile strikes.
