Trump Threatens Iran with Destruction and a 10-Year Blackout, Criticizes NATO

U.S. President Donald Trump made a series of striking statements regarding the foreign policy of the United States. During a phone interview on Fox News, he emphasized that Washington has the capability to virtually destroy Iran almost instantly if necessary. According to the American leader, the Iranian leadership has no advantages in the current standoff with the U.S.

“The Iranians have come in as if they have all the cards, but in reality, they do not,” the leader stated.

NATO Criticism and Issues with the Strait of Hormuz

In addition to threats against Iran, Trump once again expressed his dissatisfaction with the actions of the North Atlantic Alliance. He stated that NATO refused to assist the U.S. in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz, which has led to disappointment in the partnership. Trump noted that the Alliance has changed its position, but stressed the need to reassess U.S. participation in this organization.

The President emphasized that the United States will not allow Iran to profit from oil exports by selling it to selected countries or restricting sales to those they do not favor. He stated that Iran has only two options: “either everything or nothing.”

Threat of Blackout and Return to Negotiations

Trump also threatened Iran with the possibility of a nationwide power outage for up to ten years, highlighting the technological capabilities of the U.S. He expressed confidence that Tehran will ultimately be forced to return to negotiations and accept American terms.

Separately, Trump reminded about recent U.S. actions regarding Venezuela, comparing them to potential measures against Iran, but on a much larger scale. The President also announced the start of an operation to “cleanse” the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that this would be an important service for countries dependent on oil supplies, particularly for China, Japan, and Germany. The U.S., he stated, is ready to guarantee the security of maritime routes in this strategic region.
