The U.S. Strikes Key Iranian Targets
Trump highlighted that American forces have conducted a series of intense strikes on Iran’s military infrastructure, including their air force and communication systems. He stated that Iranian telecommunications have been disrupted, significantly complicating the coordination of Iranian troops. The President noted that currently no army in the world can match the power of the American military, and the results of the operation, in his view, are evident.
“Great progress has been made, as you have probably seen,” Trump said. He added that during his first term, he “rebuilt the American armed forces and made them truly strong.”
Escalation of the Conflict and Positions of the Parties
The military operation by the U.S. and Israel against Iran began on February 28 and resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran launched strikes against Israel and U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf region. As a result of the escalation of the conflict, not only military targets but also civilian facilities in various countries have come under attack.
Trump has repeatedly stated that the U.S. has sufficient resources for a prolonged military confrontation, asserting that the opportunity for negotiations with Tehran has already been lost. Meanwhile, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mohammad Moghbeli, emphasized that Tehran is prepared to continue its armed struggle against the U.S. and Israel without time constraints.
