Payments to Energy Workers and Utility Services for Work in February

As reported by Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal, the allocated funds are distributed between the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Community Development. Of this amount, 190.7 million UAH will be directed specifically to support energy workers. The payments will pertain to work performed in February 2026.

“Each of the 14,000 workers will receive 20,000 UAH in hand as assistance for their challenging work in emergency conditions.”

The minister clarified that in January 2026, the Ministry of Energy had already allocated about 152 million UAH for over 8,000 emergency team employees. For February, assistance will be provided to more than 9,500 workers who participated in the recovery efforts.

Expansion of the Program and Future Payments

Denys Shmyhal emphasized that the support program for energy workers and utility services has been expanded and updated. It now includes not only the direct performers but also employees who served as leaders of emergency teams, as well as staff from other sectors involved in recovery work as directed by regional military administrations.

The next tranche of financial assistance will be allocated for work performed in March. In April, enterprises will be able to submit lists of employees who participated in mitigating the consequences of the attacks and restoring critical infrastructure through the “Diia” portal.
