TwinMind is an innovative startup founded in 2024 by former researchers from Google X, developing artificial intelligence capable of becoming a ‘second brain’ for users. The app runs in the background on smartphones, analyzing spoken language and instantly transforming it into structured notes, tasks, and useful responses. Today, over 30,000 people use the service, including professionals, students, and those who utilize TwinMind for personal purposes.

App Features and Functionality
Unlike traditional meeting recording services, TwinMind operates throughout the day, capturing any spoken information and converting it into text, retaining only the transcription without audio files. All data is processed locally on the device, ensuring a high level of privacy and security. The app also supports real-time translation in over 100 languages and can operate autonomously for up to 17 hours without an internet connection.
The developers emphasize that TwinMind was created to enhance human cognitive capabilities. The system can transform fragments of conversations into a comprehensive knowledge graph, create working notes, reminders, and prompts in real-time. TwinMind integrates not only into the mobile app but also as a Chrome browser extension, allowing users to gather additional context from email, Slack, Notion, and other services. Thanks to this technology, the company even conducted its internship selection process.
New Technologies and Ambitious Development Plans
In August, the team introduced the updated TwinMind Ear-3 speech recognition model, which supports over 140 languages and can distinguish between speakers in dialogues. According to the company, the word recognition error rate is 5.26%, while the voice separation error rate is 3.8%. The model is based on open solutions refined with specially selected data, including podcasts and movies.
Currently, approximately 50-60% of TwinMind users are professionals, 25% are students, and the rest use the service for personal purposes, such as recording memories or even writing autobiographies. The company employs 11 staff members but has already managed to attract $5.7 million in seed capital. Among the development priorities are improving the interface, attracting new clients, and launching a corporate API.
According to the founders, the ultimate goal of the project is to create a digital memory that complements humans and frees them from routine tasks, allowing them to focus on more complex challenges.
