Emergency Power Outages and Their Geography
As of this morning, emergency power outages are in effect in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and partially in Kirovohrad regions. The cause of this is damage to energy facilities caused by nighttime attacks from Russian troops, which led to localized power outages.
During such emergency outages, previously published outage schedules are not applied, so consumers may experience unexpected interruptions in electricity supply. At the same time, the company emphasized that the restrictions will continue until the situation in the energy system stabilizes.
“Emergency outages will be lifted immediately after the situation in the energy system stabilizes,” the company stressed.
Restoration of Electricity Supply and Actions of Energy Workers
Ukrenergo reported that emergency recovery work has already begun. Energy workers are working to restore power to all consumers affected by the outages as quickly as possible. It is also noted that in all regions of Ukraine, due to previous massive attacks, electricity supply will be sequentially interrupted until the end of the current day. The volume of restrictions ranges from 0.5 to 3 consumer groups.
For businesses and industry, power limitation schedules are in place to help balance the load on the energy grid. At the same time, Ukrenergo noted that the situation may change depending on the developments and further actions of the adversary.
