Russia plans new massive missile and drone strikes on the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, after a meeting with the leadership of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Foreign Intelligence Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Preparation of Russian attacks and the aggressor’s targets
According to Zelensky, Ukrainian intelligence has obtained documents confirming the enemy’s preparation for another series of massive attacks, including strikes on “decision-making centers.” The list of targets includes about twenty political centers and several military facilities on the territory of Ukraine.
“Experts from the GUR MO obtained documents indicating that the Russians are preparing new missile and drone strikes against Ukraine, specifically, as they indicate, against ‘decision-making centers.’ Among them are nearly two dozen political centers and military points,” he wrote in a Telegram message.
The President emphasized that the Ukrainian side has taken this information into account and is already identifying targets for “further long-range sanctions against Russia for this war and strikes against our cities and villages.”
Massive shelling and consequences for civilians
Volodymyr Zelensky reported that during the attacks on May 13-14, Russian troops used 1,567 drones and 56 missiles of various types against Ukraine. According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of May 14, the Russian Federation carried out a massive shelling using 56 missiles and 675 strike drones, with the main attack aimed at Kyiv.
On May 13, the main targets of the Russian forces were the western regions of Ukraine. The enemy used 753 drones, of which the Ukrainian air defense shot down 710. As a result of the attacks, people were killed and injured, and destruction was recorded in Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Cherkasy, and Sumy regions.
The Russian strike on Kyiv on May 14 resulted in the deaths of 24 people, including three children. All the deceased were located in the Darnytskyi district of the capital. In connection with the tragedy, the Kyiv authorities declared May 15 a day of mourning for the victims of the Russian attack.
The President informed that as a result of the massive attack on May 14, 180 facilities were damaged across Ukraine, among which more than 50 were ordinary residential buildings.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, in response to the actions of Ukrainian forces, announced strikes on airfields, fuel and transport infrastructure used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as on energy facilities, storage and launch sites for UAVs, and deployment points of Ukrainian troops in 147 areas.
