Damage to the energy system and power supply interruptions

As a result of the nighttime shelling, extensive damage occurred, leading to power outages for consumers in six regions of the country. The highest number of outages was recorded in Odesa, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. Energy workers began emergency recovery operations immediately after the attack; however, their pace depends on the current security situation in the regions.

“As a result of the attack, there are currently power outages for consumers in Odesa, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. Emergency recovery operations are already underway where the security situation allows. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all subscribers as quickly as possible.”

Power outage schedules and restrictions for businesses

The Ministry of Energy emphasized that on December 6, power outage schedules will be in effect in all regions of Ukraine. By the end of the day, industrial enterprises and businesses must limit their electricity consumption according to the established limits, as power restriction schedules have been implemented in the country.

Citizens are advised to monitor the latest information regarding changes in power outage schedules on the official websites of their regional energy companies to prepare in advance for possible power supply interruptions.
