Damage from Shelling and Severe Weather
In addition to the hostilities, the situation with electricity supply has also been affected by adverse weather conditions. Due to the bad weather, over 170 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Ternopil, Poltava, and Khmelnytskyi regions are also without power.
Restoration of Electricity Supply and Outage Schedules
Energy company specialists are working around the clock to restore electricity supply to all clients as quickly as possible. The energy ministry noted that a return to planned outage schedules is not currently anticipated. At the same time, in Chernihiv region, hourly outage schedules have been implemented since 10:00, meaning that certain groups of consumers may remain without electricity for up to seven consecutive hours.
“Energy workers are operating in an enhanced mode to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as quickly as possible. Restoration work is ongoing around the clock,” the ministry assured.
