The Ukrainian market is experiencing a noticeable decline in the cost of chicken eggs. By May 2025, the price of this product decreased by 2.29% compared to April, as confirmed by analytical observations from market participants.

Consumer Price Index Dynamics
According to official data, the consumer price index for chicken eggs in May 2025 was 97.71%, while in April this figure was 102.10%. This trend demonstrates a stable decrease in the price of eggs in the country’s retail networks.
Current Prices in Retail Chains
As of June 3, 2025, the price for a dozen eggs in various retail chains is as follows:
- Novus – 43.50 UAH per dozen;
- Silpo – 59.99 UAH per dozen;
- ATB – 58.40 UAH per dozen.
Market specialists note that the current price decrease was anticipated. The main reason for the drop in prices was the increase in production activity in poultry farming with the arrival of warm weather, which, in turn, led to an increase in the supply of eggs in the domestic market.
