Ensuring Energy Security
During the conversation, the president highlighted his understanding of the importance of a stable supply of diesel fuel for the country’s security and stressed the effectiveness of the relevant services. Zelensky noted that most of the potential shortage concerns diesel, which is why the government is focusing its efforts on resolving this issue.
“I have a question regarding the diesel shortage… I understand the task for Ukraine’s security, and I believe I am addressing this issue,” he stated.
Market Condition and Consumer Support
Expert Serhiy Kuyun assured that there is currently no diesel fuel shortage in Ukraine, and supply volumes in March remain at the levels of 2025. This indicates market stability and the absence of preconditions for a fuel shortage in the near future.
Starting March 20, Ukraine launched a partial fuel cost compensation program under the “National Cashback” initiative. According to estimates from the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, about 3 million citizens will participate in the program, receiving compensation for part of their fuel expenses.
