The National Bank of Ukraine has published the official exchange rates for Wednesday, October 15. According to the updated data, the hryvnia has lost ground against both the US dollar and the euro.

The exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia is set at 41.75 hryvnias per dollar, which is 14 kopecks higher compared to the previous banking day. This indicates a further weakening of the national currency against the world’s primary reserve currency.
The official exchange rate of the euro, according to the regulator’s information, has also experienced an increase. Thus, on October 15, the exchange rate of the European currency is set at 48.24 hryvnias per euro – the hryvnia has depreciated against the euro by 11 kopecks.
Dynamics in the Interbank Market
In the interbank foreign exchange market of Ukraine in the afternoon (as of 16:00), the hryvnia’s quotations against the dollar fluctuated between 41.79 and 41.82 UAH per dollar. The quotations for the euro were 48.28–48.31 UAH per euro. This confirms the trend of gradual weakening of the hryvnia against the backdrop of the current macroeconomic situation.

Currency market analysts continue to monitor the dynamics of the hryvnia, noting that the situation in the market may remain volatile in the face of external and internal challenges for the Ukrainian economy in the near future.
