The Ukrainian industrial company INTERPIPE has been actively working to expand its presence in international markets for over a decade, with a particular focus on Europe, North America, and the Middle East. According to the company’s GR director, Natalia Sydoruk, the European direction remains one of the key and promising areas for the further development of the enterprise today.

Product Diversification and Focus on ‘Green’ Steel
The European market is characterized by its scale and high consumer demands. To meet these standards, INTERPIPE has introduced over 200 new types of pipe products in recent years, tailored to the diverse needs of its clients.
A significant competitive advantage for the company in the European market is the presence of the modern electric steelmaking plant Interpipe Steel, which was built from scratch. This plant fully adheres to the principles of the European Green Deal and aims to reduce the carbon footprint in steel production. Investments in this large-scale project have reached 1 billion dollars. As a result, the company can offer consumers products made from ‘green’ steel, which is a mandatory requirement for the EU market in today’s realities.
Challenges and New Opportunities in the European Market
Despite the existing advantages, INTERPIPE faces a number of challenges related to the constant changes in the European regulatory environment. The European Union is actively implementing new regulations that significantly impact the rules of industrial operations.
“Currently, the company faces many challenges and opportunities in the European market. This is due to the fact that Brussels has recently been producing a lot of regulatory acts that fundamentally change the ‘rules of the game’ in Europe’s industrial sector. It is important for Ukrainian businesses not only to track all these changes but also to have a clear and professional dialogue with European institutions with the participation of the Ukrainian government to convey the specifics of Ukrainian business,” noted Sydoruk.
In the face of rapid changes, INTERPIPE pays special attention to adapting to new standards and maintaining dialogue with European institutions. This approach allows the company not only to remain competitive but also to strengthen its position in a market that is strategically important for Ukraine.
