In November 2025, the consumer price index in Ukraine increased by 0.4% compared to October, while the annual inflation rate stood at 9.3%. This is the first time in the past year that inflation has returned to a single-digit figure. Additionally, core inflation, which excludes seasonal or administrative fluctuations, was 0.3% for the month and also 9.3% on an annual basis.

Which Goods Became More Expensive and Cheaper
In November, the most significant price increase was observed for eggs, which rose by 12.6%, as well as for vegetables, fish products, oil, pasta, milk, butter, and bread. Conversely, the prices of fruits, pork, sugar, poultry meat, and rice decreased. Clothing and footwear became cheaper by 2.3% over the month. Tariffs for housing and communal services remained stable, with increases noted only for waste collection services.
Prices for Lard Increased by a Quarter Over the Year
One of the most noticeable price increases was for one of the most popular products in Ukraine – lard.
“According to the statistics office, in October, the average price of a kilogram of lard increased by 6.6% compared to September, reaching ₴206.81. On an annual basis (compared to October last year), the product has risen in price by 26.2%.”
As of December 2025, the cheapest varieties of lard in stores cost between ₴150 and ₴200 per kilogram, while premium options reach a price range of ₴600–700 per kilogram.
