Grain and Legume Stocks in Ukraine Increased by 50% Compared to 2025

As of April 1, 2026, Ukraine has recorded a significant increase in stocks of grains and legumes. According to official data, the total volume of stocks amounted to 15.68 million tons, which is 5.3 million tons more than on the same date last year.

Details of Stock Growth in Different Sectors

The largest increase in stocks was observed in agricultural enterprises – by 47.2%, reaching 10.04 million tons. In enterprises engaged in the processing and storage of grain, the figure also significantly increased – by 59.8%, to 5.64 million tons.

Stocks by Major Crops

By crop, the highest growth rates in stocks were demonstrated by:

  • Wheat: increased by 58.5% to 5.4 million tons;
  • Corn: grew by 46.6% to 8.8 million tons;
  • Barley: rose by 57% to 705.4 thousand tons.

At the same time, sunflower stocks decreased by 10% to 2.6 million tons, and rye stocks decreased by 1.6% to 43.36 thousand tons.

According to the results of 2025, the volume of production of grains and legumes in Ukraine also increased by 8.2% and amounted to 61.04 million tons, exceeding the result of the previous year (56.43 million tons).
