Since the beginning of May 30, 232 combat clashes have been recorded on the front line, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening report.

Fighting in the main directions of the front
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there were four clashes, while in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, nine skirmishes were recorded, three of which are still ongoing. Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks by Russian troops in the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Sloviansk directions.
According to the command, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction. Instead, in the Kostiantynivka direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 12 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, and towards Rozkoshne.
Situation on the southern and eastern borders
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy organized 36 attacks, trying to advance in the areas of Rodynske, Zapovidne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udaichne, as well as towards Kucheriiv Yar, Toretske, Bilytske, Dorožne, Shevchenko, and Novopidhorodne. Currently, three clashes are ongoing.
“In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 36 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements Rodynske, Zapovidne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udaichne, and towards the settlements of Kucheriiv Yar, Toretske, Bilytske, Dorožne, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne. As of now, three clashes are ongoing,” the report states.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks by the Russians. In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy made 37 assault attempts, with five clashes still ongoing. In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops did not conduct active offensive actions, while in the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped one enemy assault towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.
Earlier, the U.S. Institute for the Study of War noted that the Ukrainian army is regaining tactical initiative in certain sections of the front. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that the Ukrainian military has not only significantly slowed the advance of Russian forces but is also gradually seizing the initiative by disconnecting Starlink for the aggressor and actively using medium-range drones.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his video address on May 25, stated that Ukrainian defenders currently hold stronger positions on the front.
