Fraudsters Impersonate the State Tax Service to Collect Funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Tax Authorities Warn Ukrainians

Fraudulent Emails and the Response of the Tax Service

The head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, informed that fraudsters are sending fake messages to taxpayers. In these emails, they use the symbols and style of official correspondence to create an illusion of authenticity. This practice aims to deceive entrepreneurs and discredit the Tax Service.

“I have received information that such emails are being sent to taxpayers. I want to emphasize immediately! THIS IS A FAKE! The Tax Service is not involved in this mailing. Its goal is to deceive entrepreneurs and discredit the tax service,” noted Ruslan Kravchenko.

The State Tax Service has already appealed to law enforcement agencies with a statement regarding the commission of fraudulent actions. The agency emphasizes that it has no relation to any letters requesting financial assistance for the needs of the army.

Recommendations for Citizens and Businesses

The Tax Service urges all taxpayers to be as attentive and cautious as possible. If you receive a suspicious message purportedly from the tax service, you should immediately contact law enforcement and report it to the Tax Service. Such cooperation will help to quickly identify fraudsters and prevent their illegal actions.

In the context of war and increased attention to supporting the military, fraudsters are trying to exploit the trust of citizens. The Tax Service emphasizes: all official communications are conducted only in the established manner and do not involve taxpayers in fundraising through emails or other similar means.
