Euro Exceeds 51 Hryvnias for the First Time: Official Rate Sets New Record

The National Bank of Ukraine set the official dollar exchange rate for Tuesday, January 27, at 43.13 hryvnias per dollar, indicating a slight strengthening of the national currency by one kopeck.

Euro Breaks Records in the Ukrainian Currency Market

At the same time, the hryvnia’s exchange rate against the euro continues to weaken. According to information from the official NBU resource, the euro’s value on January 27 is set at 51.06 hryvnias per euro. This means that the hryvnia lost 41 kopecks in just one day, and this figure has become a new historical maximum for the euro in Ukraine. The previous record was recently recorded on January 21, when the official rate was 50.72 UAH per euro.

Dynamics in the Interbank Market

As of 16:00, the exchange rates in the interbank currency market of Ukraine were 43.12/43.15 UAH per dollar. Meanwhile, the euro was traded in the range of 51.07/51.09 UAH per euro.
