The Ethereum Ukraine team has announced a one-day hackathon titled ETHKyiv Impulse: Farcaster Frames Edition. This event will focus on the development of innovative mini-applications, known as Frames, for the decentralized social network Farcaster.

The hackathon will take place on April 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Participation is open not only to developers but also to anyone interested in Web3 technologies. Incrypted will serve as the media partner for the hackathon.
What is Farcaster and Frames
Farcaster is a decentralized social network that operates without algorithmic censorship and allows users to have complete control over their content. Frames is a new functionality of the platform that enables the creation of interactive elements directly within posts, such as mini-games, polls, NFT mints, and subscription systems.
“The Frames technology is changing our understanding of interaction in social networks by rethinking the very concept of a post. We want to provide Ukrainian developers and creators with the opportunity to master this technology in a practical format,” said Rostyslav Bortman, founder of Ethereum Ukraine.
Format and Program of the Hackathon
The hackathon is designed for a broad audience – from professional developers to designers, product managers, students, and enthusiasts interested in new technologies. No prior experience in blockchain development is required to participate. The program will include workshops for a quick start, support from experienced mentors in the Web3 industry, and access to a prize fund for the best projects.
“We emphasize practice over theory. Come, understand, create – that’s our format. And even if you have never encountered Web3 before but are interested in technology – come, we will help you figure everything out on the spot,” adds Rostyslav Bortman.
