At the initial stage, the enterprise will specialize in the production of targeted blood plasma fractions, which will be sent for further purification and the manufacture of finished medicinal products at the existing “Biopharma Plasma” plant in Bila Tserkva, located in the Kyiv region. Construction of the second phase of the plant in Uzhhorod is scheduled to begin in 2025. After its completion, the full cycle of plasma processing will be carried out on-site.
Capacity, Investments, and Jobs
According to plans, the production capacity of the new Transcarpathian enterprise will exceed that of the plant in Bila Tserkva by two times. It is expected that up to 1.5 million liters of blood plasma will be processed here annually. The plant will employ 150 people.
The construction of the plant in Uzhhorod began in the fall of 2024. The planned investment in the new production is about €80 million. The enterprise will focus on exports.
The plant in Transcarpathia will become a leading facility in the field of blood plasma processing and will make a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine’s pharmaceutical industry, the creation of new jobs, and the enhancement of export potential.
