Largest Decline in Eastern and Southern Regions

A noticeable decline in production is observed in Donetsk, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Here, agricultural production volumes fell by 43.9%, 33.1%, and 24.4% respectively. Significant reductions—over 20%—were also recorded in Sumy, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions. At the same time, the only region with an increase in agricultural production was Transcarpathia, where growth of 2.7% was noted.

Blueberry Exports and Decrease in Grain Harvest

Despite the overall decline, Ukrainian producers and exporters of blueberries remain active in international markets. Entrepreneurs continue to supply berries to Serbia, Romania, and Moldova, and also plan to enter the markets of Germany and Spain. In 2025, members of the relevant union harvested over 350 tons of blueberries, of which about 250 tons were exported. As a result, Ukraine ranks among the top twenty global leaders in blueberry production, with a share of approximately 0.6%.

“This year, union members harvested over 350 tons of blueberries, of which they exported approximately 250 tons.”

Regarding the harvest of grains and legumes, Ukrainian farmers threshed 34.75 million tons, which is 18.8% less compared to last year (42.8 million tons). Experts cite the later start of corn harvesting as the main reason for this decline.
