Forecast for the restoration of heat supply
Denys Shmyhal, during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on energy and housing and communal services, stated that the heat supply to Kyiv residents is planned to be restored as soon as possible. According to him, the restoration work at CHPP-5 could be completed within one day, and at CHPP-6 within two days.
“For CHPP-5, I hope everything will be restored within a day, for CHPP-6 it may take two days,” Shmyhal said at the committee meeting.
He also emphasized that due to the positive temperatures, there was no need to drain water from the system, which avoids the lengthy two-week process of refilling and repairing leaks. This will significantly speed up the return of heat to the homes of the capital’s residents.
Shmyhal stressed that the government is doing everything possible to restore heating in Kyiv as quickly as possible.
