Ukraine and Denmark have launched the first production line for the joint creation of drones, marking an important step in the development of defense cooperation between the two countries. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the initiative is part of a broader strategy to deepen partnerships in arms production with European states. Similar production facilities are planned to be established in other European countries.

Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in the Defense Industry
Experts note that the partnership between Ukraine and European countries in arms production is mutually beneficial. Ukraine provides unique combat experience and flexibility, while European allies offer modern technologies, funding, and strong production capabilities. Among the successful examples of such cooperation is the production of self-propelled artillery systems “Bohdana” in Ukraine with financial support from Denmark: over 300 such systems and about 100 towed howitzers “Bohdana-B” have already been manufactured.
“Our state is currently developing cooperation in arms production with other European countries, including the launch of the first line for joint drone manufacturing in Denmark. Such lines will also be opened in other European countries.”
New Projects and Expansion of Partnership
Another significant step has been the start of production of 155-mm ammunition by the German company Rheinmetall in collaboration with “Ukroboronprom” on Ukrainian territory. At the international defense exhibition MSPO-2025 in Poland, the state concern “Ukroboronprom” signed over ten agreements on cooperation in the defense-industrial complex. The company is also actively discussing prospects for expanding cooperation in aviation technology with American manufacturer Lockheed Martin, particularly regarding modern fifth-generation F-35 fighters.
