Key Objectives of the EDIP Program

EDIP aims to enhance the readiness of the EU defense industry to modern challenges, increase its competitiveness, and improve its ability to respond swiftly to changing security situations. An important component of the program is to facilitate the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s defense technological and industrial base, as well as the gradual integration of these capabilities into the European defense technology ecosystem.

Ukraine’s Participation and Cooperation Conditions

The EDIP program is open to enterprises and organizations from EU member states, associated countries, and Ukraine. To fully implement all program activities in Ukraine, a separate agreement must be established between Brussels and Kyiv, which will ensure effective cooperation and maximize benefits for the Ukrainian defense sector.

The European Union is taking a significant step towards strengthening its defense industry and integrating the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex.
