Emergency and emergency power outages continue in Ukraine, caused by the complex situation in the energy system and the consequences of recent attacks by Russia on energy infrastructure facilities. By order of NEC “Ukrenergo”, regional energy companies in various areas have received instructions to implement appropriate restrictions.

Situation in the Regions: Which Areas Are Without Power
As of now, emergency power outages are being implemented in Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. At the same time, emergency schedules are in effect in Kirovohrad and Poltava Oblasts. Kirovohradenergo reported the introduction of an emergency outage schedule starting at 09:09 according to the order from NEC “Ukrenergo” regarding the operation mode of the Unified Energy System of Ukraine.
In Poltava Oblast, the emergency power outage schedule began at 8:55. As noted by JSC “Poltavaoblenergo”, this is a necessary step due to the consequences of attacks by Russia on the region’s energy infrastructure. In Sumy Oblast, emergency outages affect consumers of the first and second priority.
“Emergency outage schedules are applied in cases where it is necessary to immediately reduce the amount of power consumed from the grid within a very short time. In such cases, it is impossible to predict the duration of the power outage,” reminded “Sumyoblenergo”.
Details on Outages and Schedules
In Chernihiv Oblast, an hourly outage schedule is being implemented. “Ukrenergo” explains that due to the complex situation in the energy system, emergency restrictions have been introduced simultaneously in several regions: Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and partially in Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia Oblasts.
In Chernihiv Oblast, according to the order from the regional energy company, hourly power outage schedules are in effect across three priorities. This is a direct consequence of systematic attacks by the enemy on the energy infrastructure of the region, which have continued over the past few weeks. Emergency recovery work in this region is ongoing.
It is worth noting that as of 10:26, DTEK reported the cancellation of emergency outages in the capital and Kyiv Oblast. However, the situation remains dynamic, and changes in schedules are possible in case of worsening issues in the energy system.
