Inflation in Ukraine Decreased to 14.3% Year-on-Year in June 2025

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in June 2025, inflation in the consumer market was 0.8% compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, this figure slowed down to 14.3%.

Price Dynamics for Food and Goods

During June, food products and non-alcoholic beverages saw the highest price increase, rising by 1.4%. Among the products, fruits experienced the largest price increase, rising by 13.5%. Prices for meat and meat products, non-alcoholic beverages, fish and fish products, lard, bread, dairy products, butter, and sugar also increased, ranging from 0.2% to 3.3%.

At the same time, prices for vegetables decreased by 8.1%. Among other goods and products, there was a decrease in the prices of eggs, pasta, milk, and rice, ranging from 0.4% to 1.1%.

“Inflation in the consumer market of Ukraine in June 2025 compared to May was 0.8%, while compared to June last year, it slowed down to 14.3%.”

Changes in the Market for Other Goods and Services

Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.1% in June. In particular, tobacco products rose by 1.8%. Meanwhile, clothing became cheaper by 2.3%, and prices for footwear decreased by 2.1%.

In the transport sector, prices increased by 1.1%. The price increase was driven by a 5.4% rise in railway passenger transport fares and a 2.3% increase in the cost of fuel and lubricants.
