Key Areas of the Hackathon and Team Tasks

The event will bring together AI engineers, startups, developers, and product managers who will compete for a prize pool of 15,000 euros and the opportunity to integrate their developments into public services in Ukraine. The main goal is to develop practical AI solutions for the digital transformation of public institutions that can be implemented immediately after the hackathon.

Participants will work on real cases, including:

  • automation and optimization of public services;
  • creation of digital solutions for the judicial system;
  • tools to enhance the efficiency of healthcare and logistics;
  • analytical systems for working with public registries.

Specific projects include AI monitoring of children’s rights based on interagency data, analysis of public incidents to identify risks, assessment of the quality of procurement documentation using AI, and the development of a cross-border digital business assistant for Ukraine and Estonia. Over three days, participants are expected to create a working prototype of a solution ready for implementation.

Support, Mentorship, and Participation Conditions

In addition to financial rewards, participants will receive professional mentorship from experts in GovTech and artificial intelligence, consultations from specialists in digital transformation of the state, access to representatives of government bodies, and the opportunity to scale their solutions in the public sector.

A key role in organizing the hackathon is played by the Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv (GGTC Kyiv) — a platform for collaboration between governments and technology teams that promotes the development of a digital state.

“Participants will not only have the chance to win the prize pool but also the opportunity to scale their solutions and implement innovations in the public sector of both countries”.

For Ukrainian teams coming from other cities, the organizers provide accommodation, while teams from Estonia will have their flight expenses reimbursed. Participation in the hackathon is free but requires prior registration. The deadline for applications for Estonian teams is June 5, and for Ukrainian teams, it is June 12, 2026.

According to a Top Lead survey, over 200 Ukrainian companies have already integrated AI into their operations, and nearly 93% of respondents reported successful implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in their enterprises.
