The French company Arquus, which recently became part of the Belgian group John Cockerill Defense, has signed a contract to supply 61 Bastion armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. By August of this year, the Ukrainian army had already received 11 of these armored vehicles, and an additional 50 units are expected to be delivered soon. Initial plans for the transfer of the Bastion were announced back in April 2023, but the implementation of the project was temporarily suspended. Currently, it is reported that at Ukraine’s request, the manufacturer is ready to produce up to 100 additional armored personnel carriers.
