Infrastructure Damage and Power Supply Situation
A monitoring group reported that the night attack likely struck a major 330 kV substation “Ostrivska” near the village of Ostrivske in the Pervomaisky district. Satellite images show that a fire broke out at the substation. This facility is one of the key distribution hubs on the peninsula. The substation had previously been attacked in January, leaving four districts without electricity.
Additionally, a fire was recorded near the village of Pushkino in the Chervonohvardiysky district, close to the “Veseloe” airfield. It is noted that this airfield, which had not been used before, has been actively utilized by Russian military forces since the onset of the full-scale war.
Explosions were also reported after midnight in Yevpatoria, along with the operation of Russian air defense systems, including the “Pantsir” complex, and around 1:30 AM, a powerful explosion was heard in the village of Donskoye in the Simferopol district.
At 5:02 AM, the air raid alert in Sevastopol was canceled.
On the morning of March 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have allegedly destroyed 56 Ukrainian drones over Crimea, seven over the Sea of Azov, and five over the Black Sea. No evidence has been provided for these claims, and it remains unknown how many drones were not shot down.
Since 2022, drones and missiles have regularly attacked targets in Crimea. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense or authorities rarely acknowledge hits on military targets, even when this information can be verified by independent sources.
