The National Bank of Ukraine has established new official exchange rates for major currencies as of January 1. According to the updated data, the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia has decreased by 3 kopecks and is fixed at 42.35 UAH per 1 dollar.

The official exchange rate of the euro is 49.79 UAH, which is 6 kopecks lower than the previous day. The Polish zloty currently costs 11.8 UAH per unit according to information from the NBU.
The official exchange rate as of January 1 is set at 42.35 UAH per 1 dollar, according to data on the NBU website.
Cash Rates in Banks and Exchange Offices
In currency exchange points, the US dollar is bought on average for 42.15 UAH and sold for 42 UAH. The euro is bought for 49.5 UAH and sold for 49.85 UAH. Thus, the difference between the official and cash exchange rates remains insignificant, indicating relative stability in the currency market at the beginning of January 2026.
