The Estonian company Meridein Group, specializing in comprehensive solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), in collaboration with several leading European enterprises, plans to initiate large-scale drone production in the Baltic states. The new manufacturing facility, which is to be implemented as a mass-production plant, aims to produce various models of drones, including FPV, strike drones, bombers, and reconnaissance drones.

Initial plans foresee the production of 2,000 units per day, with the first drones expected to roll off the assembly line no later than the first half of next year. The total amount of investment remains confidential, and its size will depend on further collaboration with strategic partners.

Spain Expands Defense Productions

At the same time, the Spanish conglomerate Indra Sistemas, known for its high-tech products, including defense systems and electronics, is considering the possibility of launching tank production. This decision aims to enhance the competitiveness of the conglomerate in the market.

In line with NATO goals, Spain plans to significantly increase its defense spending to 2% of GDP, creating new opportunities for the development of national defense companies.
