Analysts from the EastFruit project report that vegetable prices have increased from 22-32 to 30-33 hryvnias per kilogram. At the same time, the price of early carrots has decreased: last week they were sold for 55-60 UAH/kg, while the week before they were priced at 60-70 UAH/kg.

Price Changes for Various Vegetables

Low demand has led to a decrease in tomato prices, which now cost 55-90 hryvnias per kilogram, down from 60-105 UAH. A decrease in cucumber prices has also been recorded: from 50-75 to 25-70 UAH/kg, and sweet peppers have dropped in price from 120-125 to 115-120 UAH/kg. However, prices for cauliflower have increased from 60-70 to 80-90 UAH/kg, and due to a decrease in supply, prices for radishes have risen from 20-25 to 25-30 UAH/kg. Zucchini have also become more expensive – from 50-60 to 63-73 UAH/kg.

Prices for Greens and Berries

In the greens segment, there is an increase in prices for dill, which has risen from 120-160 to 150-180 UAH/kg, and asparagus – from 200-350 to 350-450 UAH/kg. As for the fruit and berry segment, prices have remained at the level of the previous period, except for strawberries, whose price has increased from 180-230 to 215-245 UAH/kg due to the cold weather affecting sales.

“Strawberry prices have surged due to decreased sales,” analysts note.
