Reasons and Objectives of the Investigation
The basis for initiating the investigation is a request from the European Aluminum Association, submitted on December 19, 2025. The organization insists on the need to verify whether the removal of existing duties will lead to a recurrence or continuation of dumping shipments from China, as well as harm to producers in EU countries.
“This investigation is a response to a request submitted by the European Aluminum Association on December 19, 2025, aimed at determining whether the removal of existing duties will lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and harm to domestic producers.”
Timeline and Scope of the Review
The European Commission will examine the facts of dumping from January to December 2025. At the same time, an analysis will be conducted on the harm caused to the EU industry from January 2022 until the end of the review period. Based on the collected data, a final decision is expected to be made within 12 months, although the deadline may be extended by up to three additional months if necessary.
The results of the review could significantly impact the aluminum products market in European Union countries and determine future trade relations with China in the supply of aluminum profiles.
