In May 2025, the average monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Ukraine rose to 7,504 hryvnias, showing an increase of 3.9% since the beginning of the year. This data was released by the State Statistics Service.

Transcarpathian Region – Leader in Rental Prices

The most expensive rental housing in Ukraine is recorded in the Transcarpathian region, where the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is 11,956 hryvnias per month. According to statistics, prices in this region have increased by 1.6% since the beginning of the year.

The second place in rental prices is held by the Lviv region – here, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is 10,937 hryvnias. The Rivne region, with a figure of 10,289 hryvnias, ranks third, and there has also been an increase in rental costs here since the beginning of the year.

Kyiv Does Not Top the List of Most Expensive Rentals

In Kyiv, the rent for a one-bedroom apartment in May is 9,777 hryvnias, which secures the capital fourth place in the ranking of housing costs for renters.

The lowest rental prices are in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

According to the State Statistics Service, the average rent in the Kharkiv region is 3,942 hryvnias, in Zaporizhzhia it is 3,684 hryvnias, and in Kherson it is 3,243 hryvnias, which are the lowest figures among all regions of the country.
