How to Prepare for Resource Outages
The Ministry emphasizes the need to prepare a basic supply of all necessary items in advance. Each family should have drinking and technical water calculated at least 3 liters of drinking water and 11–12 liters of technical water per person per day. Additionally, it is advisable to ensure the availability of long-term food supplies, medications, and first aid supplies.
An important element of preparation is the so-called “emergency backpack.” It should include documents, cash, a first aid kit, hygiene products, warm clothing, a flashlight, batteries, a power bank, chargers, and other items that may be needed in case of evacuation or prolonged absence of utilities.
Additional Safety Measures for the Whole Family
Particular attention should be paid to children: explain the basic safety rules to them and ensure they know how to behave during emergencies. Don’t forget about pets—prepare a supply of water and food for them in advance.
The Ministry advises keeping an eye on official announcements from authorities and always keeping mobile devices and alternative power sources charged. If possible, limit outdoor activities, especially after dark.
The Ministry urges every family to have a basic supply of essentials. First and foremost—drinking and technical water calculated at no less than 3 liters of drinking water and 11–12 liters of technical water per person per day. It is also important to stock up on long-term food supplies, medications, and first aid supplies.
