Ukrzaliznytsia Launches Two Additional Trains Kyiv – Ivano-Frankivsk with New Transfers

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of two additional trains that will operate between Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. Thanks to these trains, passengers will gain over a thousand additional seats in each direction daily, significantly expanding travel opportunities to the Carpathians.

New Routes and Train Schedule

Starting August 19, the daytime train No. 751/752 Kyiv – Ivano-Frankivsk will begin service. It will consist of first and second-class seating transformable carriages. The train will depart from Kyiv daily, except Wednesdays, at 08:27. There will be a stop in Lviv from 15:01 to 15:20, with arrival in Ivano-Frankivsk at 17:20. In the opposite direction, train No. 752/751 will leave Ivano-Frankivsk at 09:30, stop in Lviv from 11:30 to 11:50, and arrive in Kyiv at 18:38.

“Please note: from August 25 to September 4, arrival in Kyiv will be at 18:04,” emphasized UZ.

Another new train – No. 149/150 Ivano-Frankivsk – Kyiv, will start operating from August 18. It will consist of compartment transformable carriages. Train No. 150/149 will depart from Ivano-Frankivsk at 21:32 and arrive in Kyiv at 07:10. In the opposite direction, train No. 149/150 will leave Kyiv at 20:29 and arrive in Ivano-Frankivsk at 05:39.

Convenient Transfers for Mountain Travel

Ukrzaliznytsia recommends that passengers pay attention to the organized transfers in Ivano-Frankivsk, which allow for convenient access to mountain resorts even when direct trains are fully booked. For those planning to travel to Yaremche, Tataryv, Vorokhta, Yasinia, or Rakhiv, additional travel options are provided.

From the night express train No. 149/150, passengers can transfer to the suburban train No. 6404/6403 Ivano-Frankivsk – Yaremche, and then to train No. 6441 Kolomyia – Dilove. Passengers on the daytime train No. 751/752 have the option to transfer to the suburban diesel train No. 6402/6401 Ivano-Frankivsk – Vorokhta. Both options operate in the opposite direction, allowing for convenient returns to Kyiv.
