Who is Eligible for a CUKR Card
Starting from July 1, 2024, Ukrainians who are in Poland under temporary protection can apply for a new CUKR residence card. This document includes a note about their temporary protection status and is issued for a period of three years.
Scammers’ Methods and Important Warnings
Despite the fact that the official application system for the CUKR card has not yet started operating, intermediaries have already appeared in the market. They promise:
- “advance registration”;
- full document processing “turnkey”;
- assistance in submitting the application.
For these “services,” scammers demand money, misleading people about the actual conditions for document processing.
“The application itself is free of charge; only the state fee is payable.”
The Polish Office for Foreigners emphasizes that applications can only be submitted electronically – paper applications are not accepted, and voivodeship offices do not collect documents for the CUKR card. The official fees are 340 zlotys for submitting the application and 100 zlotys for producing the card itself.
